Term 4 Holiday 2011 & Special Classes 2011 |

Wing Chun classes will finish next week on the 20th of December. It has been another rewarding year of training. Congratulations to all those who have passed their grading. We wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year. Have a safe and relaxing holiday. See you back at training next year.
Next year special classes starts on Friday, 6th of January and ends on Monday, 30th of January every Monday and Friday 7:00pm - 9:00pm at Remuera Headquaters. Please contact Sfiu Bruce (021 138 1828) for more details.
Classes for 2012 commences Monday, 6th of February at Remuera Headquaters.

Term 3 finishes this Friday 7th of October. Special classes will commence at Remuera HQs on Monday the 10th, Friday the 14th, Monday the 17th and Friday the 21st of October, 7:00pm-8:30pm. Please contact Sifu Cheng on 021-1381828 for cost.
The 2011 Term 4 Wing Chun classes will begin for the Westmere class on Tuesday, 25th of October. Remuera class will begin on Friday the 28th of October.. Check our classes page for addresses and training times. Enjoy the rest of the Rugby World Cup see you all next term at training. |

Term 4 Holiday 2010 & Special Classes 2011

All BCMA Wing Chun classes are now closed for the year. We hope you've had a rewarding training experience with BCMA and are enjoying the improved fitness level that you've gained throughout the year. It's been a hectic year for some and slow for others, but we congratulate your perseverance in the class. Use the holiday season as a time to rest, heal and spend quality time with friends and families.
Next year, we will have special classes at Remuera HQs from Friday, 7th January 2011, 7:00-9:00pm. The special classes will be conducted on Fridays and Mondays until the new term starts again, except on Mon, 31 Jan (Auckland Anniversary Day). Please contact Sifu Cheng on 021-1381828 for cost and place.

Term 3 Holiday & Special Classes |

Term 3 holiday period starts tomorrow on Sun, 26 Sep until Sat, 9 Oct 2010. Term 4 will begin on Sunday, 10 Oct at Pakuranga and followed by all the other classes. During the holidays, we will conduct 4 special classes on Monday and Friday of each week. So on the 27th Sep, 1st, 4th and 8th of Oct we will have special training classes at Remuera HQs, Platina St, 7:00-8:30pm. Please contact Sifu Cheng on 021-1381828 for cost and time. Or alternatively please come to the Remuera HQs to join us in training. This class is open for all students. |

Do You Know We Have a Class at Botany? |

Our new class at Botany has in fact been operating since 21st July this year. Bruce Cheng Martial Arts is delighted to welcome both beginners and more advanced-level students to train there. The class is conducted by both Sifu Bruce Cheng and Sifu Joel Thompson, who can be contacted at 021-769378. The class is located at TLC Gym, Unit 16, 345 Chapel Road, Botany. In late June 2010, we had the privilege to interview Mr. Victor Chan, a long-time student of Sifu Bruce Cheng. Victor had been training in Wing Chun directly under Sifu Bruce for 10 years now. He had learnt all three Wing Chun Empty Hand Forms, two Weapon Forms and the Wooden Dummy Form. He holds a 3rd Dan Black Belt under Bruce Cheng Martial Arts curriculum. Read more » |

Ip Man 2 was by far the most anticipated film of 2010 for me as the first Ip Man movie had significantly raised my expectation for a sequel. Although I must admit that the sequel lacked strength in the plot, the fight choreography is still of a high caliber.
I will review the three main fights in the film starting with the brawl in the fish market. In my opinion, this fight could have been so much more in terms of showcasing the weapons of the Wing Chun arsenal. Read more »

Term 2 finishes on Friday, 2nd July 2010 at Remuera HQs. The holiday period is two weeks after that, and Term 3 will begin on Sunday, 18 July at Pakuranga. During the holidays, we will conduct 4 special classes on Monday and Friday of each week. So on the 5th, 9th, 12th and 16th of July we will have special training classes. Sifu Bruce Cheng and Sifu See Wong will open a new class at Avondale starting on Thursday, 22 July. The address is Avondale College, 205 Rosebank Road (Gate 3 Entrance). Classes will be held on Wednesdays, 7:30pm - 9:00pm. |

New children classes are now opened! |

Good news! We have a new children class at Sunnynook Park Scout Hall on Sunnynook Road, every Thursday,
6:00 - 7:30pm. The instructor is Sifu Nick Bowie and his mobile number is 021-444516 if you are interested.
This class is for children aged 6 to 13 years old.
On a similar note, Sifu Antony George's children class has now been relocated to Waimauku School Hall, 2 Muriwai Road, Waimauku. Sifu Antony George can be contacted on 027-5500700 for further information.

End of Term 1 & Holiday Special Class |

Term 1 for this year will end on Thursday, 1st April. Consecutively, we will conduct a School Holiday Special Training on Friday 9th, Monday 12th and Friday 16th at Remuera branch, 7.00-8.30pm. It is with deep sadness that we announce Sifu Gerard Ngawati passed away at the beginning of March this
year, due to an unforseen circumstance. Sifu Gerard had dedicated the last eight years teaching Wing Chun at

Due to an unfortunate circumstance, the New Lynn branch is temporarily closed this term. All of Sifu Ngawati's
